How to Verify a Chinese Factory Before You Pay
November 15, 2024 Aromiso Sourcing Team
Paying a factory you have never verified is the fastest way to lose a deposit. Before any transfer, confirm the supplier is a real operating entity.
Start with public records: business registration, export licenses, and trademark filings tell you whether the company legally exists and what it is permitted to make. Then move to an on-site audit — either yours or a third-party inspector — covering production lines, QC lab, and workforce.
Finally, triangulate: ask for references from brands they have shipped to, check container loading photos, and compare the sample you received against the spec. A legitimate factory welcomes this scrutiny. If a supplier resists documentation, treat it as a red flag.
