Rose oil adulteration:

- Buy origin-specific. Bulgarian rose otto from Kazanlak cooperatives is traceable. “Rose oil” with no stated origin is a red flag.
- Contract before harvest. Rose harvest runs May-June (Bulgaria/Turkey). Jasmine runs July-November (India). Place orders by February-March for guaranteed allocation.
- Require documentation chain: Harvest certificate, distillation/extraction batch record, GC-MS, physical constants, and (for absolutes) residual solvent analysis.
