Aromiso Team 1 min read
What is AQL?
AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) is the international standard for sampling inspection. AQL 2.5 means you accept up to 2.5% defective units in a random sample.
Key Checkpoints for Candles
- Visual: cracks, bubbles, frosting, colour consistency
- Dimensional: height, diameter, weight within tolerance
- Functional: burn test (flame height, soot, tunneling)
- Packaging: label accuracy, barcode scan, box integrity
Key Checkpoints for Oils
- Appearance: clarity, colour, sediment
- Scent: matches approved sample
- Fill level: within ±2% tolerance
- Seal integrity: no leaks
When to Inspect
- During production (DUPRO): Catch issues early, when rework is still possible
- Pre-shipment (PSI): Final check before goods leave factory
- On arrival: Verify no transit damage
Third-Party Inspection
We welcome SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or your nominated inspector. We coordinate scheduling and provide full access to production and warehouse.
